Privacy Policy
Nothing leaves your iPhone for us.
941 Apps, LLC (“we”, “us”) makes Founder Camera. This policy explains what the app handles and where it goes. The short version: Founder Camera has no account, no server, and no analytics. What it records or reads stays on your device and in your own Apple services. We never see your videos, your scripts, or your face.
What the app uses
- Camera and depth sensor. The front camera records your video. On an iPhone with Face ID, the app reads the depth camera to draw the outline on the screen. Depth is used moment to moment and is never stored or sent anywhere.
- Microphone. Your voice is recorded as part of the take.
- Takes. Finished takes are saved to your Photos library, or to the app's own folder in the Files app if you have not given it access to Photos. They are never uploaded by us.
- Scripts. Scripts are text or Markdown files in the app's folder. With iCloud Drive on, the folder syncs across your devices under your Apple Account, handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. With it off, scripts stay on the device. We never have access to them.
- Settings. Your choices of light, reading speed, text, camera adjustments, and live view are stored on the device.
How it is used
Only to record your video and to show your outline, your light, and your script. We do not collect, share, sell, or disclose any of it, because none of it reaches us.
What we collect
Nothing. The app contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party code that collects data. Its App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”.
This website
foundercamera.com counts page views through 941 Apps' own analytics service so we know which pages are read. It sets no cookies and does not store your IP address or your browser's identifying details. Pages read in one visit are grouped by a random identifier kept in that browser tab and discarded when the tab closes, so a visit cannot be linked to the next one. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes requests to deliver it.
Children
Founder Camera is made for adults recording their own videos and is not directed to children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
